Artist’s Statement
Looks like I have entered my Mature Phase not just cronologically but also artistically.
In 2009 I went to the Big Island of Hawaii where I camped on the beach, swam and played with the wild dolphins and road my mountain bike through jungles, around a steaming volcano. I did a lot of thinking about death and life and what it all meant, or if it had any real meaning at all. /// A lot of people when faced with death turn to religion but not believing in any particular god I couldn’t do that. The religion I liked the best was that of the ancient Greeks and Romans. I especially liked Athena who was smart, strong, athletic, and, of course, beautiful. But all the authorities agreed that the Ancient Greek Gods were just superstitious myths and totally unbelievable to the modern world. /// So what do I believe? How can I search for truth and meaning in life? I start with Science
